Failure? No. Only If We Give Up.

I win regularly in life.

Its my mentality, even my superpower.

When other people give up I only get more determined.

You do too I think, if you are reading this.

But that doesnt mean that I dont ever 'fail.'

I will tell you about that later.

For now - use this as motivation.

Richard Bransons Virgin Atlantic group lost £9 million in its first year.

It makes my 5 figure 'contract blow out' today pale into insignificance.

Through innovative customer service, he turned it profitable, achieving £51 million in revenues by the late 1980s

Virgin Cinemas faced early financial struggles.

Branson sold the chain to French group UGC for £215 million, refocusing efforts on profitable ventures like Virgin Media, which generated £5.1 billion in revenue.

Viewing habits changed and Branson adapted. Just like we must.

If you live in the UK, you will remember Virgin Megastores....

They lost millions in the face of digital disruption;

...But pivoted into to Virgin Media which I spoke about in the last tweet, which grew into a company with 46 million customers (Virgin and 02)

Virgins Orbit’s initial Rocket tests cost millions;

And now everybody talks about Space X - but Branson persisted, leading to successful satellite launches and contracts worth over $1 billion.

Keep going people, I swear that its only the 🧠that limits us.

One For The Ladies;

Virgin Brides incurred significant losses. But Branson learned from the failure and funneled his efforts into his other companies.

We all need the ability (and the mindset) to pivot.

And they dont call me 'Masters' for nothing. Lets GO!

Speaking Of Pivots;

Virgin Cars initially struggled, losing around £20 million. Branson utilized these insights to enhance Virgin Money, which now manages £35 billion in customer assets.

Thats a lot of dang loose change people ! Wow.

Virgin Publishing faced early losses. But Branson turned it around, with Virgin Books now known for bestsellers and notable titles.

Kindle has taken over big time, but this is testament to how we arent always going to win either.

How we 'lose' is equally just as important.

From America to Alaska, the Game Never Changes;

Virgin America faced $55 million in losses during its early years. With strategic improvements, my man Branson turned it profitable, selling it for $2.6 billion to Alaska Airlines.

Can you even imagine the Presentation !

Virgin Voyages lost significant amounts pre-launch.

But my dude turned it into a successful brand with promising bookings and growth potential.

I lost out on big money today myself, but you watch me turn it around too. Just like i always have, and always will also. LETS GO

Hello - Whose Calling?

Virgin Mobile USA initially lost $30 million. Branson revamped its business model, leading to profitability and its $483 million acquisition by Sprint.

Yet another tale of adversity spawning eventual success. And thats what this Thread is all about.

The Bottom Line.

So as you can see, failure is as much as state of mind as our success.

Have you managed to turn a 'loss' into a 'win.'

If you have, Mr Masters always lives to hear them.

I collect them all (even my own ones) like little gifts🎁

Lets get down to business !
